Dr. Alan Malouf
M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Alan Malouf is a board certified Ophthalmologist and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He was born and raised in Prince George’s County. He has been a practicing ophthalmologist in Bowie since 1989. Dr. Malouf received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland, College Park and received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Malouf completed his residency at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. In addition to general ophthalmology, Dr. Malouf specialized in cataract surgery. Dr. Malouf performs surgery at UM Capital Region Surgery Center (formerly known as Dimensions Surgery Center) in Bowie. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and is dedicated to teaching the medical students and residents. For the last 30 years, Dr. Malouf has been directly involved with the healthy and prevention of vision loss in premature infants. When Dr. Malouf is not in the office or the operating room taking care of his patients, he is active in many medical and professional organizations.
